I'm a Big Boy Now

So since Mekhi started pulling himself to standing on the furniture he just won't stop. He believes that he is a superhero or something. So today I was just taking pics of him standing on holding onto the couch, and check it out, he goes in stages!!

Annadale Waterfall

Today we went to Annadale Waterfall. It was so great,no cruise ships were in so it wasn't busy and it was a beautiful day so we were able to just enjoy the weather and the surroundings. It was a cooler part of the Island (weather), and they had these guys who jump off the cliff into the water, they were hilarious. It wasn't a very big waterfall, but it was beautiful!

Grenada Independance Day

Today was Grenada's Independance Day and we left the house early to take part in the festivities. It was really great, we went to the Stadium where the police, coast guard, prison guards, cadets, and various other officials from the Island were all in their dress uniforms. Now that wasn't the really awesome part, everyone there was dressed in the Grenada colors gold, red and green and when I say dressed I don't just mean a t-shirt, most were dressed in dresses, suits, and full outfits sporting their national colors. It was so cool to see. We did our part and wore what we could, Mekhi sporting green shorts and red shirt with a grenadian arm band on, me in yellow with a Grenada scarf on my head and Kell wore his grenadian scarf and a maroon (he says its red) shirt. LOL, Anyways lots of fun had by all.

PS after looking at our pics, I realized we didn't get any of the peeps in the real Grenadian outfits, sorry, but look in the background of most photos and you'll see the colors.

In the below pic, the man in the grey'ish suit is the Prime Minister

New Toys from Aunties and our Day at the Sailing Festival

Well it is the annual Grenada Sailing Festival and we made it to Grand Anse Beach just in time to see the boats coming in. The winning team won $1000 US Dollars. If you look at the sail boats, they are pretty cool, the beams are bamboo and they are just adorable. So here we are watching the festivities

Now Mekhi has been a very very lucky boy receiving many gifts from many peeps back home. Unfortunately I have not been able to get photo's of him with all of them (Dad he loves the caterpillar and Mum he gets excited about your book every time I take it out). So below is him reading his "Picture me Dinosaur" book from Auntie Brandee.

And here he is playing with part of the toy that came from Auntie Stephanie.

This, old toy, is his ducky, which I bought him months ago. Funny its been in a box for a while, I take it out and its like "oh Mum you bought me a NEW TOY!!!!" Gotta love it.

Watching some TV. Here is a video of him playing with the toy from Auntie Stephanie.
