Hello from the Sea!

Well I am onboard the Sea Princess and at this very moment I am looking out a window at the bright blue ocean while we are sitting in port in Dominica. I have only been ashore once so far (been too busy getting re-oriented) but it was in Antigua and it was really beautiful. We only had 30 minutes so I ran around taking in as much as I could see. God did I miss the sun! Last night...we were on the open deck watching a volcano erupting on an Island that we were passing. It was black outside but we could see the red blobs coming up, and then oozing down what would be the rocks below. God was it amazing.

By February 11th, I will be doing the job of Hotel Secretary so I will no longer be working on the Purser's desk. Same rank and department, but now I will be doing clerical work under the Passenger Services Director and the First Purser. Im very excited for this new challenge. AND it will give me an office of my own with a big window to look outside all day long!

Alright...this is all for now, my Mum was reminding me that I have not put any new postings up so Mum...here it is.

Love you all!

glad to read it, pity that photos don't work at night. I would love to have seen the volcano erupting. Really neat.

Mego - glad to hear all is going well in the sunny south. Looking forward to your many updates, send many pictures. By the way keep an eye out for little eggs - Did you know that the Caribbean Octopus lays approx. 500 eggs at a time - usually in January !!!

Inquiring minds need to know !
